This was found in a box left by a family member. It is a horse figurine done in clear and frosted glass. On the bottom is both a label and an acid signature identifying it as Lenox, Fine Crystal, Made in Germany. It s 7 long, 5 high, and 2 wide. From what I have been able to find out - it was made in the late 1980-1990 s, is named Racing in the Wind , and is 24% solid lead crystal. It is in per...

The warmth of the mahogany veneer on this buffet by Lexington is delightful, especially when bathed in subdued sunlight on a July afternoon! This piece is the perfect complement to the larger buffet that I currently have available, having just two doors that open up to reveal two drawers for silverware. The interior is completely open under the two drawers, allowing for plenty of storage. There...

The combination of faux bamboo and rattan has produced an impressive chest of drawers by Ethan Allen. It was made in the Philippines instead of here in the US, as shown on the sticker on the back panel (refer to picture 10). This sticker also shows the date of production as being September 2005. It is in remarkably good condition with the exception of some wear on the front edge of the top and ...

This pine console /hall table, with removable plate rack, has had many years of use! Purchased in the UK. The plate rack slides into grooves on top/either side of the base. We never used this piece at all. The very top has 3 large 'staples' / wire where I presume someone attached it to a wall with hooks etc. There are also some holes, along the front edges, that were possibly used with hooks fo...

This screen is a great looking unique piece! We believe it is European. Sold to us, at an auction, as 16 or 17th century. We thought they were doors, but realized they all hinge together for a screen/room divider. Heavy & solid wood, probably oak, with carved faces along the top, all different. Ornate panels below. Each panel is 15 1/4" wide (6). The back is simply paneled. Some strap hinges, n...

Chinoiserie pieces have long fascinated me, so I was delighted to have come across this Chinese cabinet with carved panels covered in gold leaf and handpainted scenes on the sides and the top. I find the side panels even more interesting than the decoration on the two doors and am amazed at all the details of these scenes. There is also a lovely scene painted on the top (refer to picture 12). T...

Stickley furniture is some of the finest that's still manufactured here in the US. These nightstands are crafted from solid mahogany, and the wood grain is simply exquisite! I photographed both of the tops to showcase the wood grain (refer to pictures 12 and 13). There is a date stamp on the underside of the top drawer, indicating that they were made in August 2002 (refer to picture 16). The fr...

The stylized horse and the lively colors are what attracted me to this work by Josep Puigmart (1932-2020), a Spanish artist who had a prolific life and resided in Sitges, Spain, for many years. The title of this work is Caballo de la Selva, which is translated literally as "Horse of the Forest." This is a lithograph in a limited edition of 260, the number of this copy appearing in the lower lef...

Soak up the sun's warmth as you relax on this retro wrought iron chaise lounge with its two cushions covered in pink and red peonies. This chaise lounge matches the patio set that I've just listed. It has a row of dogwood blossoms on the back and the arms and looks like something produced by Woodard, even though there is no label on it showing the manufacturer. As a vintage piece, there are a f...
